Global Running Day

A week before Global Running Day, I was approached by Mina Guli, to design and run a social media campaign to mobilise people to run. The campaign was supported by the WWF, so we also had to raise awareness about global rivers.

The campaign’s tag line was: “Our rivers are always running for us, so let’s run for them.” We asked people to dedicate their Global Running day tun to a river, and share their run on social using #run4rivers.

The campaign deliverable was to gather 200 email addresses (to be used for the next mobilisation). To get email addresses, we issued race numbers for signing up. I had an automated system built where people received their number immediately after signup. Over 800 people signed up. The reach and sentiment of the campaign was so positive that WWF booked 4 more mobilisations with Mina Guli.

My responsibilities included: Campaign Direction and Strategy, all social media & copywriting, paid social media, graphic design - including social share graphics, webpage and race number, building the landing page on Squarespace.
